Putting the COM in Rom-Com with Michelle Pennington

Comedy is obviously an important element of a romantic comedy, but how do you craft something so elusive and subjective? This class will explore the structures and types of comedy, reader expectations, voice, style, branding, and marketing that will help you to write and sell romantic comedies that actually make readers laugh out loud. 

This will not be a funny class even though the topic is comedy. It will be about comedy, even if you're not funny.  Michelle has studied how to write comedy for several years. She has 180 note cards of information so there’s not a lot of time for jokes in the class.
